GentleJet® is ideal for children and adults with sensitive skin. All AdvantaJet®
injectors provide precise and accurate dosing for all skin and insulin
types
| AdvantaJet® Injector Profile |
- Designed for the purpose of jet injection
- The injector has a range of one-half (0.5) to fifty (50) units of U-100 insulin.
- Insulin is loaded by attaching the vial and
vial adapter to the injector. The number of each unit loaded appears in the
lens. A dot after each number designates a half unit.
- Designed with a distinguishable detent ("click-count") of each unit
loaded, thereby permitting its use by many visually impaired patients.
- The insulin is delivered under pressure through a tine orifice at the head of the injector, penetrating the skin though an opening
smaller than that of a conventional needle, then spreading through the
subcutaneous tissue at the injection site.
- Range of comfort settings allows for adjustment of the penetration pressure of the injection
depending upon variables such as insulin type, volume, skin type and injection
site.
- Allows for the mixing of all types and brands of insulin.
- AdvantaJet® injectors are personal home care devices and
should not be used by any person other than the original patient.
- The injector must be sterilized weekly. A complete
sterilization kit is included with the system.
