The laboratory of today is considerably different from the laboratory of five, ten, or fifteen years ago. One of the major differences is there is less space for more complex instrumentation. Computers, LIS terminals, printers, and instrumentation now take up the bench space that microscopes, test tube racks, and calculators used to occupy.
Laboratory space is at a ‘premium’ with little or no funding for expansion. Instrument companies have made their instruments smaller with new and better technology however; they need special space requirements for installation.
Easy access to the sides and rear of equipment is imperative for precise and timely repairs.
Manufacturer's require air circulation to keep equipment cool. Rear & side fan filters need regular cleaning.
The size and weight of the equipment are usually prohibitive to gain easy access to the side panels and rear of the instrumentation.
The requirement for servicing and preventative maintenance this equipment now becomes the dilemma. How do we satisfy the manufactures' requirements without the costly expense of remodeling our current laboratory?
The CAROUSEL, designed to fit on existing countertops allowing the operators or service personnel easier access to the rear and sides of medical equipment. Service personnel no longer have to stand on the countertops or work in awkward positions just to repair equipment. Operators/service personnel simply the slide the CAROUSEL forward then in an arc left or right to gain access to the total instrument.
